Short Term Development

The Avalanche Warning Service team thanks all its helpers for the ongoing collaboration: the observers at our 17 manned stations, 25 observers in outlying terrain, Alpine Police, military pilots, terrific forecasts of the ZAMG Weather Service and for the many reports from ski tourers, along with the dense and up-to-date information from 92 Avalanche Commissions. Many thanks, too, to our translator Jeffrey McCabe for his vivid translations of the daily reports into English.
